When spool output contains less than 99 pages: When a spool has less than 99 pages we can run a SAP report RSTXPDFT4 in SE38 to convert the output to PDF. We can also have a Z t-code made for the program made for the same. Steps: a) Execute the program RSTXPDFT4 in SE38 by entering the spool number which is to be converted to PDF. The Need for Spool Administration: The SAP system has a printing architecture that needs close administration and monitoring. It is organized in such a way that when users send a print job in the system, the spool work process prepares data in the spool request and generates output requests that contains the formatting details of the printer. Spool Requests Test. The SAP System differentiates between two types of request when printing: Spool request: A spool request is a document for which a print function has been selected. However, it has not yet been output to a printer or another device. As we know it is being used in the SAP BC-CCM (Use Subcomponents in Basis) component which is coming under BC module (BASIS).SPOV is a transaction code used for Spool Request Overview in SAP. It comes under the package SPOO.When we execute this transaction code, SAPMSPAD is the normal standard SAP program that is being executed in background.
While checking the spool system on transaction code RZ20, the spool service show status “Spool server is not active. output request waiting!”.
The assigned spool server is not active or not properly assigned.
1. Execute transaction code SPAD. Click on Spool servers.
2. Here, you can view the list of the spool servers. You can also identify which spool servers are active or inactive by referring to the colour.
3. If the spool server is in red colour, it either means that the spool server is inactive or not assigned as a spool service. In order to overcome this, you can assign or change the spool server to a different spool server which is in active mode.
You can use the following parameters to adjust the spool processing dialog on an application-specific basis and to preassign values in dialog.
